FLEA MARKETS!As all the wise flea market connoisseurs say: One man’s garbage is another man’s gold. Secondhand markets are an awesome alternative when you are trying to stay on a budget, but they are also so much more than that! At a secondhand market, you can find secret treasures you wouldn’t be able to find at your local H&M or El Corte Inglés. Here in Barcelona, there are a fair amount of flea market events where you can find your new favorite t-shirt or vintage pair of sunglasses. How about an original painting by a local artist? Or a classic Catalan book? There are so many options once you set foot on the grounds of a flea market! Check out these local flea market events to find your own hidden treasure…

Two Market

This market stands among the rest when it comes to bargaining and thrifty shopping! Two Market is Barcelona’s cheapest market event, with everything sold at the price of 1 euro. That’s right! ONE EURO! Two Market will have over 80 stands of different second-hand items, all retro to modern, offering you an endless amount of ways to spend those coins sitting on your night stand. This is an event you definitely don’t wanna miss out on!

Two Market will be held on Sunday, March 5th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at L’Ovella Negra del Poblenou on Zamora, 78. General admission per person is — you guessed it— one euro!

El Rastro de la Virgen

Started in 2012, El Rastro de la Virgen was created as a way to encourage alternative consumption and the use of secondhand material. It was also created in order to bring locals and artists together. At this market, you will find everything from paintings and books to knick-knacks and vintage clothing. Local musicians join the event to share their music with the community, as do artists to share their artwork.

This diverse flea market is held on the first Saturday of every month from 12:00 to 8:00 pm at La Virgen on Carrer de la Verge, 10.

Fleadonia

Deep in Barcelona’s Raval neighborhood, on the first Sunday of every month, you will find one of Barcelona’s most popular flea market events: Fleadonia. Started in 2012 by the Cultural Association, Freedonia, this monthly market is the perfect place to hunt for bargains. Not only can you discover secondhand treasures, but also original items sold by painters and designers.

The large event is held on the street of Plaça Salvador Seguí, 1-9 near the metros Liceu o Paral·lel. The market runs from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.
