Skiing is an incredibly popular sports in Spain, and there is no shortage of mountains in this country, especially near the northern border with France when the Pyrenees are located. Andorra


One of the most famous skiing destinations to go to when you’re travelling from Barcelona is Andorra. Located right on the border of Spain and France, this is the ideal location to get some skiing or snowboarding on! Of course, Andorra also offers a vibrant apres-ski scene and a variety of award winning restaurants. Therby, the also offer an awesome wellness retreat and spend the night in an igloo! You definitely won’t get bored!

Baqueira-Beret


This ski resort, located in the heart of the Spanish Pyrenees offers around 140 (!!) kilometres of on-site skiing and is the biggest resort near Barcelona.  The resort is divided into three ski and snowboarding zones: Baqueira, Beret and Bonaigua, all with diverse activities. From Ice skating, to mountain climbing, helicopter tours and heated swimming pools to skiing competitions, and events and parties on the agenda.

Lack of time to travel outside of Barcelona, but still want to do some winter activities? Ice skating is the answer! This indoor year-round rink is located right in the centre of Barcelona, only a 10 minute walk away from Arc de Triompf! La Molina


The oldest resorts in de country is La Molina, located about a 2hour drive from Barcelona to the North of the country. The 68 skiable kilometres are distributed over 63 slopes of all levels, a large snowpack and the biggest superpipe in the Pyrenees. Ideal for freestylers looking for a challenge and some good practice! Talking of practice, located in this resort are 13 ski schools to get on top of your game quickly! La Molina has been hosting a lot of Internationals World Cups and Championships, which assures the slopes are getting taken very well care of and are of high value.

Masella


Another skiing resort located relatively close to Barcelona is resort Marsella. Located in the Cerdanya valley, it’s just 90 minutes away from the city! One advantage about this resorts is the more hours of sunlight it offers, thanks to its own microclimate. Also offering a ski and snowboard school, bar and restaurants and a wide range of accommodation. What stands out in this resorts, is that they offer night skiing! So anyone who’s a thrill seeker: this is your resort!

Barça Ice Rink


Near Camp Nou, home of FC Barcelona, there is another ice skating rink open to the public everyday of the week. Besides the training sessions and competitionons of figure skating and hockey, you can get blades on yourself and skate the Futbol Club Barcelona ice rink! Therreby, it is even possible to hire a personal coach to brush up some moves. Keep in mind that tickets are to be bought from the ticket offices at the rink.

Port del Comte


Ski station Port del Comte is a great for one day ski trips if travelling from Barcelona! This is a small but very nice ski resort, which is very affordable as well! Elevation goes from 1700m to 2400m of great snow runs for skiers and snowboarders who are looking for uncrowded and affordable pistes that doesn’t come with too much travelling!

Snow World Barcelona (Coming Soon)


A 300 meter long indoor ski slope in the city of Barcelona! For a while now, Snow World and it’s partners have been looking for a suitable location to open open up this ski resort and has been found! The complex will include a variety of restaurants, a wellness centre and even a hotel. Way to experience the ultimate winter sport holiday in this incredible city! Keep you guys posted!
