Program Description

All year, we offer native German speakers the opportunity to join our first-class “Work & Cultural Immersion Program” in Madrid with a fixed salary of 1.545€ per month. In this program, we combine working on a flexible schedule in a multinational company, while accessing a variety of social & cultural activities, as well as attending trips to immerse yourself in the local culture and explore the country’s hot spots. Also, the program provides you with full support to smoothen your integration into the new city life. The program includes:

  • Paid work in multinational company in Madrid (1.545€ per month)

Requirements & Application Process

The program is designed for native German speakers that are looking for international work experience and are eager to immerse themselves in a new culture. Work-wise, the requirements are the following:

  • Native German speaker with a good command of English
  • High school degree
  • Excellent communication skills by phone and email
  • Attention to detail and deadlines
  • Able to work in teams
  • Experience with MS Excel

The application process is simple and consists of 3 main steps:

  1. Apply online: Fill in the online application form on this page and we will schedule a personal or Skype interview with you to check your suitability for the program.
  2. Pass interview: If you successfully pass the interview, we will make you an offer to join the program and sign a contract with you.
  3. Get ready: Prepare your travel to Madrid and get ready for a once-in-a-lifetime experience in an amazing city.

There’s no application deadline! All year-round, we admit candidates to our “Work & Cultural Immersion Program” in Madrid. Just indicate in the application form the preferred start date and the number of months you want to participate in the program.

The price depends on the program duration and can be paid on a monthly basis (300€ per month), or upfront with a 10% discount (For stays of minimum 2 months):

Who can apply?

The program is designed for native German speakers who are looking for international work experience and are eager to immerse themselves in a new culture. Work-wise, the requirements are the following:

Do I need a visa or work permit?

As a German citizen, you don’t need a visa or work permit; however, you have to get your social security and NIE (Número de Identificación del Extranjero) number.

How much tax do I have to pay?

The tax load depends on the number of days you are working in the European Union and on your total income per year. E.g., if you have worked more than 183 days in the European Union and earned less than 12.000€ in one year, the income tax (Called IRPF in Spain) will be 2%.

What’s the program duration?

The program duration depends on you and the availability of projects. The majority of projects take between 1 and 3 months, but there are also shorter and longer projects available dependent on our business affiliates.

Is there a chance to get a full time work contract after the program?

It is possible that our partner company extends your contract after the program. If not, they could even offers you permanent employment.

What’s the salary?

You will receive a monthly gross salary of 1.545€.

Where’s the office located?

The office is in the Ciudad Lineal district in close proximity to metro station Arturo Soria (Line 4).

What are my responsibilities?

Tasks may vary from project to project. The typical tasks are:

  • Build up and maintain data of health professionals in order to offer support to healthcare customers by providing data bases and provide innovative solutions to facilitate their business and medical operations
  • Contact with various partners to ensure the reliability of the data
  • Direct contact with customers in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Recruit and interview physicians regarding their prescription habits and contact with pharmaceutical companies
  • Identify business opportunities
  • Create progress reports of projects
  • Document, email, troubleshoot, and in some cases translate texts
  • Proactive calls in which prospective and current health partners are contacted in order to build professional relationships
  • Receive and process incoming calls, respond to routine questions and refer non-routine questions to manager
  • Communicate with doctors by phone and email
  • Maintain and build relationships with key treatment centers
  • Follow-up with panels to achieve maximum answering rates
  • Prepare and distribute data collection documents from panels
  • Collect information from panels and ensure that quality meets basic requirements

Will I get a job reference letter?

At the end of the program duration, you will receive a job reference letter including company description, personal data, tasks and performance evaluation.

Do I need my own health insurance?

In general with your European Health Insurance Card, you receive the statutory health care in Spain. This means you can go to a doctor if you are sick. Treatments that can be delayed until you are back in your home country, such as dental care, are not included.

Is there an emergency contact?

There’s an emergency contact throughout your program duration.

Will I get help on my accommodation hunt?

We will help you on your accommodation hunt, and if desired we will arrange your accommodation for the duration in the zone you want.

Will I get a contract?

You will get a temporary work contract for the agreed program duration.

What are my working hours?

You will work from Monday to Friday and can choose between the following schedules: 7:00 to 15:00, 8:00 to 16:00 and 9:00 to 17:00.
