Attention all running addicts and marathon lovers! The Barcelona Marathon (also called the Marathon Catalunya), is coming to Barcelona on Sunday, March 12th! The Barcelona Marathon is a yearly event that attracts runner from all over Spain. This year, over 17,000 runners are expected to participate. This 42 kilometer race is spread out throughout the city, passing by many of Barcelona’s most popular tourist attractions. During the race, runners will pass by destinations like Camp Nou (home to FC Barcelona), La Sagrada Familia, Arc de Triomf, and many more. Click here for a detailed route map.
The race will start at 8:30 a.m. by the Font Màgica de Montjuïc (Magic Fountain). Runners are expected to finish the race within 6 hours.
