Spanish has a long list of funny and interesting expressions that are often difficult to translate directly into english. But what about Catalan?
This sentence is a really sweet one, so If somebody say “Salut I força al canut” for you, you have to know they have got your best interests at heart. They often use it as a toast around the dinner table when friends or family members are together and they raise a glass to wish each other all the best for the future. Funnily enough, it’s direct translation is: “Good health, and strength to your balls!”
